Re: Pakistan v England, 2nd Test, Dubai
Credit goes to Wahab and then Yasir
12.10pm: What a dismal/inspiring session that was! England lost their last seven wickets for 36, doing a passable impression of their previous UAE ineptitude, as Pakistan gained a 136-run lead that looked pretty unlikely when the score ticked past 200 with Joe Root and Jonny Bairstow still at the crease.
Wahab Riaz was the fox in the coop, removing Root and then ripping out the middle order during a lengthy, almost totemic spell; Yasir Shah then whizzed through the tail, licking his lips after some unexpected toil. After seven days of fighting hard, England suddenly looked startled and disorientated - they have a huge battle to avoid defeat from here. Anyway, you can ponder all that over breakfast/lunch/a restorative cuppa, we'll be back in half an hour.
