Get over this provincial bias crap and stop kidding yourselves

Although Pakistan’s best batters traditionally hail from Karachi (Hanif, Miandad, Zaheer, Younis) and bowlers from Punjab (Imran, Wasim, Waqar, Fazal Mahmood, Sarfraz, Asif, Aamer etc.), it is not like there are 3 or 4 Miandads or Zaheers in Karachi waiting to burst onto the international scene. I see no upcoming batting talent apart from Umar Akmal but he has been disappointing in the tests so far. The truth is, there is an extreme shortage of good batters coming thru the system

Let’s just accept that we are not good enough at the moment. We need a batting revolution. Not just 1 or 2 good batsmen but atleast 3 or 4 quality batters who are able to consistently amass 600 combined runs in a test match. That should be the minimum requirement for any quality test team. Till such time we can forget about being competitive at test level. Our currents batters have absolutely no clue how to approach test batting. They play it like T20. Talent and technique apart they seriousy lack mental application, patience and discipline (aka TEMPERAMENT)

Our bowling cannot bail us out all the time in test matches esp. if our pathetic batters cannot even score 100 runs in a test innings!!
