Maza a gaya after a long time…..but to me, the most revealing aspect is gul’s bowling…I saw his first over and said to myself that his Yorker length seems to be back…he was such a piece of crap following last year’s T-20 world-cup…..absolutely rubbish in Sri lanka, NZ and then Aus…. and I have no doubt in my mind that Waqar has helped him gain his confidence with some key tips….but again we need consistency ….gul needs to practice very hard in nets….lets not forget that he bowled miserably in last few county games….
Aamir was impressive but I think he needs to use his brain a little bit more in death overs….h will bowl 4 excellent balls but will always bowl one or two lose balls in death overs….he lacks concentration also evidenced by the fact that he drops sitters consistently in the filed …you cant afford bowling any lose ball in death overs considering that batsmen are going to have a go at every ball in those overs…frankly speaking, had afirdi dropped white, things cold have been very different because ajmal and aamir combo had already leaked almost 25 runs in 2 overs….
Umar Akmal and Umar Gul 'saved' Pakistan.
Top order could have done better and Mr 'senior player' (T20 specialist) should not have gone for five consecutive boundaries. This needs to change in the next match. With Razzaq, Butt, Ajmal and Shoaib in the field..god bless our fielding.
Overall, a good match and Afridi did well as a captain.

I know Speed is bitter but I think he was mocking Ijaz Butt and PCB administration's flip flops & incompetency in general and the way the game is run in Pakistan not necessarily the team
I missed the whole game because of work yesterday but a great win nevertheless, And looking at the scorecard it was Umar Akmal show all the way. His 64 off just 31 balls set it up nicely for us though 167 was a gettable total. Hope the top order and Akhtar perform better today
But I still feel PCB should arrange something to improve speaking power for the players ... Afterall, they are playing international cricket and not the domestic ...
Fair point but have you seen PCB Chairman Ijaz Butt talking to the media or anyone?

^^ very difficult to bat with him... i guess all the players should be aware of this and should not run on his call until they are sure that the RUN is ON... let him run-out himself..
BTW my formula is still working, get butt out cheaply..more chances for Pakistan to win

Butt wasn’t at fault for Akmal’s run out. There was never a run there, and Butt clearly called out early.
