Instead if 75 for 4 (after 15 overs) with Maxwell gone (at the time he had only 2 runs), I think Pakistan winning the match was certain ... but now we are facing 145 for 3 after 29 overs (Maxwell 48 runs not out) ... Thanks to Umar Akmal easy catch drop :(

If Umer Akmal had taken an easy catch of Maxwell when Maxwell was 2, it would have been 2 runs after 7 balls.
Now, Maxwell has 60 runs in 60 balls. Or he added 58 runs in next 53 balls ... and when Pakistan defending total of 215, that is a lot.
I think, instead of having clumsy fielders like Umar Akmal (who also do not have such a high batting averages), Pakistan should play good fielders who has reasonable averages.
Anyhow, just due to his average in ODI (that is reasonable compared to many other Pakistani batsmen), I think UA can be given a place but should be fielding at boundary instead of slip or at catching positions.
We should know that good fielders can win matches as much (if not more) as good bowlers and good batsmen.

At one time I thought they may reach 275+.. But the middle order is so consistent in collapsing.. Never disappoints if u bet on their failure

i have been active at GS for 11+ years and never observed so much disinterest in Pak cricket by psoters…i myself did know (and did not care) that there was a match today…i mean Pak vs Aus used to be a big game with at least 10 pages…
the fact of the matter is that since 20003 this team has not produced one new star…not even one…you dont even know the names of most of the players…so many mediocre and average players…came and gone. Mohd Aamer and asif were good but turned our to be charsie and juway baaz. Batting is simply non existent and now the bowling attack is equally bizarre and pathetic.

If Pakistan had made 300 runs than also Pakistan would have lost. If Misbah would have been the best Captain in the world than also Pakistan would have lost. No doubt Misbah is also responsible as it was he who chose to put different fielders at different positions. On the other hand, in losing the match, there is little fault of Misbah unless he is the one who also selects the team and forced in incapable players.
Simple fact is that, you cannot win matches when you drop catches.
Further, Pakistan cannot become a first class team if Pakistan would have parchi players, unfit players, or third rate fielders in the team.
