Re: Pakistan to become the next Asian Tiger
roadrunner, please give me a proper reference to pakistan having higher growth rates than india.... india's GDP (real growth rate) is 8.4% and pakistan's is 6.6% according to google/cia (type 'gdp growth india' or 'gdp growth pakistan) please do not make unsupported claims.. and besides that, india's infrastructure and economy is far ahead of pakistan.. theres not much i can say here u cannot possibly compare the 2 country's economy they are in different leagues.. its not abt following sum1 either, its abt learning from other countries and progressing in the right direction.. remember... realizing a problem is teh first step to solving it.. being in a denial gets you nowhere:)

In fact google has invested a lot inside India, so on their search engine, India might be a way ahead of Pakistan in terms of GDP. So run the same search on Yahoo and other search engines to get independant results.
Pakistan is not out their to learn but to set the standarads that growing ecenomies can follow.
Comparing India with Pakistan is like comparing elephants with tigers. India is a big country in terms of population (1:9) and area(1:7), so if their economy is growing 6 times than that of pakistan, they are still way behind Pakistan. :)

Good post!
Re: Pakistan to become the next Asian Tiger
umer.. that's not relevant (population and size).. do you compare US russian aand chinese economies based on their size and population? no you measure it according to national GDP, GDP growth, per capita info, economy trends and international investment.. etc etc etc..
Roadrunner, no reply from you, I guess you were just blabbering claims bfore..
It shudnt b seen as a competitoin.. I'm not Indian.. I don't have any bias.. Why are you (umer) trying to seee this as competition blame game.. tryin to put the other down.. truth is that India's economy IS doing great.. and there is much that Pak can learn from it.. just like there is a lot India can learn from China's economy
