To be honest, where are the batsmen in the team. Umar Akmal is the only genuine batsman in teh team. If they play both Imran Farhat and Khalid Latif in the 11, then we are short two batsmen. Oh, we will definitely miss the aggressive batting from Kamran Akmal.
So who do you suggest we drop, only three seamers can play, Aamir, Asif and Gul, which one, remember Gul is devastatingly good in T/20.

The question again arises what has Tanveer done in the last 12 months to justify selection. I would rather try new blood, who knows like last year in the T/20 Aamir suddenly came to fore we might find a new one ths time around.

he is being under performing for so long that even considering him for any international match is ............ well PCB can still select him .... so no worries .......

*naming *him captain for both matches (even though Afridi will be available for 2nd T20) is one of the rare sensible decisions PCB has made in a long time ..... Afridi can be back as a captain in WC.... but this decision will keep him in check.

kamran akmal as specialized batsman ..........for me thats not a good decision....................if he is in team than he should keep the wickets too other drop him n bring new keeper dont bring sarfraz too
Malik as captain in both is good decision but Afridi has to come back in thw WC regardless of what he has done

Maybe that's a strategic move. He has been playing in England for Kent/Sussex for many years now, so he's played against and probably knows the weaknesses of all the England players. So maybe he can give them insider tips. Its only two matches, he's probably not gonna play.

I dont like the selection of Yasir Arafat. He is a tried and tested failure. Not even a failure, but he is one of those very medicore players who never looks like a match winner. I'd rather have Uncle Rana for T20's over him.

I dont agree Yasir Arafat is a parchee. He has been a consistent performer in t20s and a good player. Admittedly not at an international level but see consistent performances do count.

^ I agree...he isnt a parchi but I remember Younus Khan thought very highly of him and he has always done well at the domestic level and also he's done really well in county cricket. But whenever he has played for Pakistan he has always looked very medicore. He never looks like a match winner with bat or bowl.
With Uncle Rana, you will at least occassionally get to see a some brilliance with either the bat, bowl or in the field.

I guess he was not in squad, while talking about achievements, what has Younis Khan, Salman Butt and all those great players have achieved...

Razzaq might be aging but he is miles ahead of Tanveer when it comes to all round abilities. Tanveer is a mug with the bat.
So if all those guys who have listed above have not performed and I agree with you why do you want another non performer to be included. It is not right to say that because so and so hasnt performed we must include Tanveer as well. We want guys who perform not non performers. Butt should not be in the team, period.

Am going for this match (20th Feb one), hopes to see a good match, i hate one sided matches (like the last years Pak Vs Aus T20 here)
