Pakistan Super League, 18th Match: Lahore Qalandars v Quetta Gladiators

Re: Pakistan Super League, 18th Match: Lahore Qalandars v Quetta Gladiators

When Sarfaraz got out, I thought they were done, but good batting by Sanga and Nabi :k:

Great game of cricket, and good for PSL, regardless of who won! Finally a team managed to reach 200, and that too was overrun by the following team. I'm sure we can produce good batsmen nevertheless if we have such magnificent games.

Yes this Bismillah guy came out of nowhere. OK we should not judge him on one innings but it seems the potential is there.

oh wow! unexpected happened. great game though. Bismillah ne apne career kaa Bismillah kar diyaa...mubaarak! :)

Re: Pakistan Super League, 18th Match: Lahore Qalandars v Quetta Gladiators

There were two great things happened for Qalandars. One is Chris Gayle back to his fire power, though he is pretty much a fluke as well. Second they got their mojo by hammering 200+. This is a huge advantage. Now they know they can bat. If they play the same way against Islo, there is absolutely no way they cant win.
Nabi is back to Afghanistan so Glads will miss him but not that terribly since with KP, Sangakara and Elliott they are pretty much invincible.

I support Lahore Qalandars Team because this team have two big hitter Gayle and Umor Akmol.

Re: Pakistan Super League, 18th Match: Lahore Qalandars v Quetta Gladiators

Excellent game of cricket - has to be the match of the tournament so far!

I just love the way Glads come together as a team. From always animated Sir Viv Richards to their young captain to international players to newcomers, it is such a harmonious balance. Any team would have mentally given up on winning looking at the massive total, but from first ball to the very last one - the intent to chase was so visible. At no point, they allowed themselves to fall out of the competition despite losing wickets.

It is amazing that the team that started off as ignored and unglamourous underdogs with no serious marketing and publicity are pioneers of producing quality cricket in PSL.

As with Lahore Qalanders - it is ironic the captain of Pakistan International T20 site is the crappiest captain in the league. Who on earth gives last over to an average spinner when all the opposition needs is couple of big hits? What a dumb idiot.

No wonder I really don't like Lahore Qalander team because there is no passion and vision in their management.

Re: Pakistan Super League, 18th Match: Lahore Qalandars v Quetta Gladiators

Lahore Qalandars cannot defend 200+ target... The captain seems to be clueless and cannot use his bowlers...( the way bowlers performed thet should be called BALLERS) with this much total the match should have won in 10th over i.e. tight line and couple of wickets the Reqd Runrate should easily touch 16 or 17 per over...this where you win....

Quetta played it well...but seems like a fluke or let me say the obvious...scoring 200+ is fluke for LQ as well...

Top of that, these matches should have been played in Pakistan...had this been the case iam sure Qadafi stadium would have jam-packed...miss live cricket and the environment...

Damn you yahood and hanood and UAE and rest of the world who banned international cricket in Pakistan.

Re: Pakistan Super League, 18th Match: Lahore Qalandars v Quetta Gladiators

Well, Quetta is playing with at most average or retired players, but they are playing with unison and hope, having target, vision and dedication. Thus, even though Quetta has the least capable players in team (obviously, except Sarfraz whose ability is unquestionable), they are getting positive result, mostly due to playing as unified team full of confidence and belief on themselves (all comes from way they are managed, by Captain and coach).

Lahore had better overall players, but they have very weak captaincy and are not playing as unified team, hence loosing matches.

Islamabad is best and the strongest team of the tournament, but I think they were unlucky, plus they also had some injury problem (Misbah missed few matches). Islamabad captaincy is also a bit weak ... Only better than Lahore and Karachi Captaincy for limited over type games.

That was such an exciting game!!! I was jumping up and down like a silly kid when Nabi hit the 4 on the last ball.
