We wouldn't care all that much if Pakistan spends its money on F16s or whatever. The problem is the money they spent in the past on cross border jihad/mujahideen/fidayeen/suicide bombers etc. Knowing what we know now, we are not sure if it was just the army and isi doing these things on their own or if the previous governments were also complicit.
Anyway, with the kind of back firing the jihadi/mujahideen etc stuff has shown, I am sure furture regimes in Pakistan will keep a tight lid on these.
As to American money wasted ...guess what? America had a part in sustaining the Taleban and then now the continued senseless iraq war. This is a small sum that nobody misses
