an absolute no-no to lebanese refugees imported to pakistan. we inducted large amounts of afghan refugees in the past, and look how it has affected pakistan. i know lebanese people are different, but a developing country like ours cannot afford any more refugees. it would further reduce the standard of living.
i know they are our muslim brothers and all that, but there is no real muslim brotherhood in in the world as such. would lebanon have accepted pak refugees if the situation was reversed. probably not. so, i feel we shd not consider that option.
we can provide other help like sending relief goods, etc. also, pak shd take a greater moral stand right now. most of the muslim world is either shamelessly quiet, or is not saying enough. pak shd be more vocal in this issue.
