India will not and should not distance itself from China. Infact, both want to boost their trade realtionship, this year trade will increase to 60 billion USD.

India does not have an armed pro-democracy lobby like Pakistan has an armed "jihadi" Mullah lobby that have taken the *theka *of all Muslims of the world. Mullah lobby in Pakistan is a strong political lobby, that policy makers of Pakistan do not ignore. This lobby has always supported Chechnya against Russia. So, it will be a tight walk.

Pakistan needs to move away from the US, and closer to regional countries especially Russia and China.

That is true. Pakistan should invite investments from Russia (and others) , and stop any more economic deals with Americans.

Russia is too close to India to ever be a friend to Pakistan.

That may be true earlier, but presently America is closer to India than Russia. There are more Indian in US than in Russia, and there are more American companies in India than Russian.
So India today relies more on America.

It is good that pakistan is trying to have more pragmatic foreign policy. However, in the current situation, pakistan will be changing one master (US) to another (china or long shot russia) as pakistan has no leverage right now and seems to be making decision based on its recent perceived humiliation (OBL raid).
Ideally, pakistan should be friend with Iran as it can be good cheap energy source compared to the central asia but since pakistan is firmly in bed with saudi, it is not likely.

Pakistan's relationship with the US or China is that of a satellite state. Fully dependent.

India's relationship with the US is that of trading primarily with strategic issues as a secondary one. For example USA is clamoring for Indian markets just like India is clamoring for US technology.

Similarly Indo-China relation is also multi-lateral.
