Read my above posts which shows killings of journalists in Pakistan and journalists' appeals to HR and other world agencies. These Pakistani journalists represent to world how much is the freedom of press in Pakistan. When statistics are taken these issues are definitely come in to picture. You can not close your eyes like shetr muragh not to accept ground reality or by lame excuses.

Do u really think we fall below saudia arabia and other retartded nations where there is no freedom period...just cuz no one dares to says anything against their gov. or put their nose in gov matters doesnt mean that those nation hold the title to be have press freedom.
these cry babies do have freedom thats why they are voicing out loud.
Even philliphines and mexico are above us...in Mexico 9 reportes were killed just in 2006, in last six years 47 reporters were killed in philliphines......

So SA is retarded nation. Miaan hosh ki dawa karo. SA is the best friend of Pakistan. Millions Pakis work their, after USA, SA is the biggest source of FE to Pakistan. Also SA supplies oil to Pakistan on discount rates. SA has always come to help when ever Pakistan was in distress. SA is the biggest country in exporting oil to USA and other countries. What are you talking about? You should be thankful to SA being a very nice to Pakistan.
No one hates his/her own country. When such incidents happen in a counntry one should be more cocerned as such incidents tarnished the whole nation and people of civilised world think that Pakis are janglis who treat their own people like that. Those killed are relatives and dear to some ones. Ask them how they feel. God forbid if some one in your family killed like that how do you feel? think for a moment.

In any country the press is either free of political influence or not, but it is always under the influence of business classes.
And the record of press in Pakistan is much better in comparisan to many other countries. It is even after Pakistan has remained under military rule for most of the period in history.

^ well now in pakistan corporate culture is using media as a tool. but before that media n corporate were greatly misused by each other. lollywood is a very good example of this. before ppl were unaware to how to combine ideaz of commodity n fetishism.
on the other hand we also cannot neglect the geographical location of pakistan and worldz turning into global village.
therefore i say after politics we do see corporate enforcement, but direct corporate rule can only apply on media if economy is privatized.
