Pakistan must scrap its Strategic Depth Policy at once

I think Zardari is working in the best interest of the entire Pakistan including the genuine interests of the Punjab. But the Punjab-centeric political, religious, and military classes are so adamant in retaining the existing order in the country and extending its hold over the rest of the region that they unwilling to accommodate a Sindhi who have a vision of genuine federation. That is why there is this revolt against Zradari by Kiyani-Shahbaz-Nawaz-Imram, Choudris, Gilani, and Choudri. If you look at this array of forces aganist Zaradari, MQM, and ANP, it seems clear that it is Punjab versus the rest of the Pakistan.

As far as "prevailing of the ends" is concerned, please do revisit when US leaves Afghanistan and we'll talk about who's working for who.

It is a grass miscalculation that US is leaving the region any time soon until it stabalizes the AfPAK. Even when it achieves that, it is going to be there. So wishful thinking in this connection is suicidal.

I sincerely think that Punjab is a small province unable to face an advanced social-political fomation and the formidable alliance like US-NATO and should secure Pakistan's long-term interests instead of risking its own interests as well as the interests of the rest of the nations in the region.
