Yes, I have heard a lot about Pakistan testing a thermo-nuclear device. After the recent Indian war threats [which India backed off from when they discovered that the IAF didn't need any help crashing MiGs] it is even more important for Pakistan to be ready for a response to an Indian test.
We have to wonder why America chose Pakistan as a partner instead of India. The idea is simple - Pakistan's government is more "modern" and senisble. Another reason is that the U.S. wants to be on the right side in case of a war: If India declares war on Pakistan and the U.S. sides with India there will be tremendous negative recation from the Arab Leauge, China, Turkey, [most of] Europe, and many other muslim countries, include Pakistan ofocourse.
The Indian military Couldn't pour water out of a boot with instructions on the heel, and they think they cab attack Pakistan and win. What a joke. (I hope it didn't offend anybody, I was just having fun comparing the Indian military to Pak's)
