One can see by just looking at the india map , that if a nuke is dropped on them, only they will be the one who'll suffer. On the other hand, if Pakistan is nuked by India, the whole region including Iran,Afghanistan,China and even some western part of India will be affected, and in return lose their temper on India. India will have nothing to win over the war if they think of starting one with Pakistan. Everything to lose, nothing to gain.
Now that was geographically speaking. Coming to the economic factor, India will be the one suffering the most. Pakistan is not very big in their import and export whereas the whole world is trading with India. Hundreds and thousands of call centre are there of foreign countries. There are also other so many factors involved . Once the war starts, India will suffer like never before.

India knows precisely the consequences of a nuclear war. This analysis was done at the time of Clinton presidency (I assume with US help). It is simple. In case of a first strike by Pakistan, 600 million Indians dead, 120 million Pakistanis dead, that included everyone you know in Pakistan and everyone I know in India. So go take the risk.

This my friend is exactly what the purpose of my post really was. The world we are living in nowadays is perhaps the most dangerous place to live. You also need to understand that Pakistan strategy to save Pakistan's territory against their enemies has always been the defensive one. Neither Pakistan, nor India is in the position to have war with each other, for any issue. India knows very well that once the war erupts, Pakistan will be the first one to launch its nuclear bomb and other nuclear warheads against India. However, Pakistan will only launch it if India is the one starting the war. Pakistan has always been defensive. We know for a fact that Pakistan will be unable to kill every single Indian from a nuclear bomb, but this is not the goal of launching bomb in the first place. India must accept Pakistan as their neighbor and the same goes for Pakistan. Humanity always comes first. We as two nations will always have two opinions on every single issue, but one thing we both can agree upon is the fact that we can grow and get better than any country in the world, if only we work together to overcome our weaknesses.
Also, yes u're right 600mil indians dead and on other hand 120mil people in Pakistan dead. With Indian bomb on Pakistan... China, Iran and afghanistan will be affected and thus more casualties must be expected in Indian regions from these countries , even after the end of war with Pakistan.
Also , starting a war with Pakistan would mean killing your own growing economy by your own hands. You know Pakistan wants that to happen. So, why mess with Pakistan man? :D

But have you considered the possibility that Paksiatn will make a first pre-emptive strike against India as Mush did in Kargill? Pakistani military is not known to calculate the consequences of its action very carefully. A hot-headed general like Hamid Gul can easily attack Mumbai with a nuclear weapon even without advising the Pak government. In that case do you think China is going to step in to help Pakistan (as they stayed away in the Kargill conflict and in fact told Mush to get out of Kargill).
Also before depending on China to attack India in case of a full scale war, understand that the China's padosi mulk on the north side is a very good friend of India.

Of course we should attack India if we think India is even THINKING of harming Pakistan or invading Pakistan no doubt about that. I am all in for that. :)
First pre emptive strike is the only solution to keep India shut up and keep them worry that Pakistan will strike first.
If india does not want war with Pakistan then it should sign Comprehensive Test Ban Treaty (CTBT).
this thread is disgustring. how can you guys even think in terms of nuclear war? regardless of season, regardless of whose boomb it was and which country it landed in, the mere wind carriage will be devastating to both countries,. Land, air water will be polluted and poisoned for centuires in both countries. Where do you think Pak get water from? Where do you think some winds blow into India from? We are united by nature. We live or die together.
