… I remember reading something about credit card companies charging fees to charities before passing on your donation. so, perhaps it’s a better idea to write a check or deposit money into bank accounts for these relief organizations instead of using the credit card. having said that of course, giving something - via credit card or otherwise is better than not giving.

Credit cards always charge fees. But its easier to send money thru that, so as you said… “giving something - via credit card or otherwise is better than not giving.”
