Spockji! What about Simbly and Rawal dams? The main purposes of both of them to supply water to Isloo and Rawalpindi!
Re: Pakistan Develops 20 Small Dams To Irrigate 27,000 Acres.
Criticism just for the sake of criticism is no good! Whoever comes on the throne of Islamabd, these projects wont be curtalied.
Re: Pakistan Develops 20 Small Dams To Irrigate 27,000 Acres.
So there was nothing wrong with Musharaf toying the Punjabi line? Are you as forgiving of others, even other punjabis who pander to the Punjab to further their careers?
To lead Pakistan, you have to pander to many people. The other option is total martial law with no dissent allowed. You will be the first to cry if that happens.
Re: Pakistan Develops 20 Small Dams To Irrigate 27,000 Acres.
No they are not, where did you read that. Also, are you calling Musharraf a liar?
Read what? That small dams are better? It is written about in many scientific studies. Mush is playing the political game for Punjab's sake or maybe he really does believe that nonsense. I don't know. This is one stand I agree with ANP on.

No, you missed the point.. You blame others for pandering to Punjab.. But you are willing to excuse Musharaf for doing the same thing.
You denounce other govt officials for pandering to Punjab, even though they are doing the same thing Mush is doing by pandering to Punjab to foward his career.
If its right for Musharaf, it has to be right for everybody...
In fact, even you should start pandering to Punjab.. Maybe learn Punjabi, move to Lahore, leave the MQM offcourse... Maybe then you can start moving up whatever ladder your trying to go up...
PS. Mush must be a pretty damn good actor cause when he was talking about the Kalabagh Dam, he certainly sounded sincere... Certainly sounded like he believed in it personally...
Re: Pakistan Develops 20 Small Dams To Irrigate 27,000 Acres.
At least three I know! And they are doing good: Hub dam at Karachi, Mirani Dam at Gawadar and Thaddo dam, Karachi.
Yes, those are great achievments for Pakistan which have brought benefit to the people, and we should all applaud them.
Re: Pakistan Develops 20 Small Dams To Irrigate 27,000 Acres.
Indeed. God Bless Pakistan. Long may these developments continue. :k:

Inshallah it will. Despite the attempts by anti-Pakistan elements to derail this. The foundation stones are being laid nicely, despite the mismanagement of Pakistan by previous leaders. :)
Re: Pakistan Develops 20 Small Dams To Irrigate 27,000 Acres.
When you say Anti Pakistan, you mean you and Suhaib, or does that also include Reza? ![]()
Re: Pakistan Develops 20 Small Dams To Irrigate 27,000 Acres.
We may all have differing political points of view, but none of us are anti-Pakistani. Sometimes the greatest patriot is that who criticises and questions leaderships because they love the nation more. That said I don't think every Pakistani should applaud great development projects like this 20 small dams plans, and wish for their successful completion.

I don't blame anyone for pandering to Punjab because they are the most powerful geographic/ethnic entitity in Pakistan. That is the reality, but I wish it were different and there existed actual equality among the federating units. Unlike some others, I do not live in a fool's paradise where Immi will be elected unopposed as PM in Pakistan and Punjab will not matter.
I don't know what Mush thinks in his heart.
