Re: Pakistan deports provocative Afghan imams
This step should have been taken a long time ago. Quite aside from the content of what they preached, preference for imam positions should be give to Pakistani citizens graduating from Pakistani madrassahs.
This is a joke of a step because it is so insincere.
Taliban ideology did not come from Afghanistan, but it went from Pakistan to Afghanistan.
I bet that all of the people who trained these "radical" Afghan imams and maulvis are still in Pakistan.
If you "give preference" to Pakistani imams from Pakistani madaris, then you'll have the most prolific madaris like the notorious Binori town madrassa, which gave us the likes of Maulana Fazlullah, Baitullah Mahsud, Nek Mohammad, Maulana Abdul Aziz, Ghazi Abdul Rashid, Maulana Azam Tariq. Of course, no one can forget Maulana Samiul Haq's Haqqania madrassa in Akora Khattak, which gave the world such luminaries as Mullah Omar.
The source of the evil ideology is within us. We can fool no one by blaming Afghans or Uzbeks or Chechens, who were all indoctrinated by our own "world famous" maulvis and armed with our own Darra Adam Khel special AK-47s and Rocket Launchers.
