6 months off might do them good. Yeah. Only if PCB can get its act together during the time.
Six-month break just what Pakistan cricket needs](http://www.dailytimes.com.pk/default.asp?page=2007\03\26\story_26-3-2007_pg2_7)
KINGSTON: Pakistan’s World Cup has been dominated by underachievement and tragedy. The fact they now have six months of inactivity is probably just what they need. It would be difficult for any player or team to focus on a Test or one-day series so soon after they lost their coach Bob Woolmer, especially in the circumstances of his murder in his hotel room last Sunday.
But at least their next assignment is not scheduled to be until the Twenty20 World Championships in South Africa in September. Although it may take a lifetime for players to forget the sorrow of the past week, at least this timeout may provide some breathing space for players following such trauma. Some like Danish Kaneria, Younis Khan, Rana Navedul Hasan and Umar Gul will play in English county cricket but at least it is a fresh environment, miles away from Jamaica and the painful events that have unfolded over the past week. Other players like captain Inzamamul Haq and Shoaib Malik will simply return to their families, relax and try to forget. In cricketing terms, there is a major rebuilding operation to be done and this six-month period is another blessing.
More vacancies: The Pakistan Cricket Board should ensure they use this time productively to map out the future as there is much planning to be done. The positions for captain, coach and the whole selection panel are currently vacant. The support staff will also be gone soon. There may be more vacancies. Ultimately, a comprehensive purge of the team and surrounding staff is afoot and there is no need for the PCB to make hasty decisions. Former skipper Aamir Sohail suggested that the country’s president Pervez Musharraf should advertise in national newspapers to ensure he acquired the best people for the job.
He slated previous appointments of non-cricket people to run the board and key cricketing positions, such as those hired from government or ministerial roles.
Imran Khan suggested appointing two coaches, one to take care of bowling, one batting. That makes some sense as you cannot better expert knowledge of particular roles. Former England batsman Woolmer was renowned to be one of the best coaches ever, but even he would have admitted that he could not tutor leg-spinner Danish Kaneria as well as an expert in the art like Abdul Qadir or Mushtaq Ahmed. However, the problems you attract with coaching partnerships is that one always wants sole control. This would create further unrest at a time the PCB would be trying to build stability.
The obvious choice for captain is Younis Khan, a well respected team man and a batsman who was good enough to be ranked number three in the Test world rankings last year. Whether he would be happy to take on the pressures that go with the territory is another matter. There are few alternatives, though. Key decisions will eventually need to be made but the PCB will need to plan very carefully and coolly. reuters

They're staying at the Holiday Inn at Heathrow, which is literally a 10+min drive from me. As tempting as it is to go, theres no chance to catch them there as they've brought in extra security.
Apparently Inzi went out today, but through the back entrance. So theres a good chance you could see them out and about.
And they're set to leave for Pakistan tomorrow evening on Emirates airline ;)

i think there will be no jootian after the sad demise of Bobby. The whole nation is equally sad and i think the players should be left alone ... they already have suffered a lot in last few days!
