yes...india is poor. Being an indian, i do feel that the condition of poor in india is more pathetic than their counterparts in pakistan.
Even infrastructure in some parts of pakistan will beat that of india and even indian ones beat that of pakistan in some areas as far as infrastructure goes.
Pakistan would have done great like during times of zulfikar bhutto. But has gone down since then. Those who proclaim as saviors of pakistan(a.k.a pakistan army) is responsible for its damage.
Many say without army rule pakistan wouldn't have acheived the economic growth rates of 7-8% which it currently has. Wouldn't pakistan grown if any other guy was there other than mush??.. I would say pakistan would have grown at this rate even if nawaz shariff was there. Every other coutry is growing quickly. China, India, S E asia, even bangladesh etc inspite of all corruption stuff. so pakistan too would have grown irrespective of who was in power whether mush or nawaz. Infact, nawaz was even acting against extremism under the insistence of clinton during the height of kargil war if i recall correctly.
In short, pakistan would have grown inspite of all corruption stuff. I also believe corruption is more rampant in india in some cases than pakistan. if india can grow at higher rates inspite of it, then even pakistan can.
