She is PPP activist and wife of PPP's senator Aitzaz Ahsan. PPP supporters had to go through a tough time during Zia regime for agitation against Marshal-Law. Such torture on political activists (including ladies) was very common in those days. Even Mrs Nusrat Bhutto was injured during a rally due to lathi charge.
