someone once told me he doesnt consider a black muslim BLACK but rather he thinks of them as just MUSLIM.... in other words BLACK usually means something else in his opinion if you get what Im saying.
I agree with this...
as chris rock puts it, there's a big difference between black people and n******. Nobody likes the ghetto-trash gangsta criminals..Muslims who are black don't fit into that.

I have not seen it too often, of course, but there is one Pakistani gentleman I know who married an African American lady. The guy is an MBA from Harvard. Multi-millionaire by age 35. His wife was his class-fellow in Harvard School of Business (MBA).
His family was wary in the beginning ("heeray jaisa baita haath se nikal giya" kinda attitude), but the lady has since won over every one in the family. She is really polished, highly-educated (of course), very caring and a really good revert (to Islam), practicing muslim and have raised really nice kids. While the guy was one of those fair-skinned Pakistanis and the lady is black, the kids have turned out to be this really cute brownish complexion that is just so adorable.

better then marrying someone of your own race who lacks the above mentioned characteristics. once parents start to realize this.... we'll have less single muslims and more muslim couples who are happy and content with their marriages and families.

It is hard enough finding someone u click with, who shares the same values, and can be compatible with... race alone shudn't determine it..
