I was thinking about bringing an old Malik thread back to life too. :-)
Malik already has a backing from Ejaz Butt-run administration and the new (temporary) coach Alam. Even if the results had not been in our favor, I doubt the outcome would be as drastic as removing him from the captaincy. The option of Saeed Ajmal in the team is very suitable. There are a few things that needs switching around, such as bringing fast bowlers when there is a new batsman on the crease while Malik still operated his spinners. The team is performing well, however.
Batting was tough but that 20-30 runs at the end made the difference. Tanvir was seaming the ball early on but Gul was too short, but he made up by his usual yorkers at death overs. Congrats everyone.
Kudos to the Pakistani team 2 in a row, hoping for a white wash :D

I am sure in due time we will see that change happen. The transition from a batsman-captain (Inzamam) to a bowler-captain (Malik) is working out well with some added strategies and a potential to further improve, in Malik's side of the world. There was one other spinner earlier tried out by Pakistan which have been put on bench, Abdur Rehman. At least 2-3 spin options between Rehman/Ajmal/Malik/Afridi could be rotated depending upon performance. Speaking of spin, not sure if Danish Kaneria is still being looked at by the selectors or altogether forgotten.
