And with that Pakistan are all out for 262, even though they lasted the full length of the 45-over innings. The main statistic you need to worry about is Shehzad and Maqsood's 124-run stand for the third wicket, which at one point threatened to determine the very course of the match as South Africa looked unpenetrative with the ball. But Steyn came back in only the way he can, ripping out six wickets in a whole, which is the first time he has ever done so in an ODI. Pakistan will be pleased with their effort though as they added some much-needed runs at the end to create a contest for the home team. Do join us in about 40 minutes time for the South African reply.

Steyn did not deserve those 6 wickets
Both Anwar and Umar Akmal were not out
Umpires can try to help SA all they want from losing this series but this is a tough task.

batsmen too have done their job today :)
indeed they did...i would have loved to see the run rate even higher...they had slowed down quite a bit in the middle.

i'd say SAF will fall some 30-40 runs of the Target insha'Allah ......
Our 1st ever win over SAF in an ODI-Series will be insha'Allah the result :D

Team report is submitted to ICC at the end of the match, they can raise the issue there.

it's good to see the bowler's tight grips on de Kock and Amla who are notorious for fast scoring...good job Pak bowlers. run rate is kept very low after 9 overs.
