some guppies attaked me for keeping a serious posture and not showing joyous emotions after winning the series against WI…well here is the reason…my point was that this pakistani team has nothing in it in terms of a strong team especially the batting lineup and they will always lose against a better opponent … what i did not know that they cannot even compete against ZIM..

I will maintain my stand…our bench is as pathetic as the current team…nothing outstanding there either. Dont think as if there are some miraculous players sitting outside

I said mention an innings that MADE a difference. We criticize Umar Akmal a lot but he has won more matches for pakistan than Asad and Hafeez combined.

Even if a new batsman struggles against SA, I would take it. Heck they should have tried a new one against Zim too. but Whatmore/Misbah/Moin were too scared to experiment.

well a century against SA in SA was a good achievement, no matter how you look at it...it almost won a test for pakistan, by the way!

anyway, fine umar akmal or harris may be tried against SA instead of asad but i still think asad will have a better temperament against SA than umar....

and yes they shd have tried some of these new players against ZIM....that i agree but look at results...this pathetic team struggled 8 out of 10 days against ZIM....how can you blame misbah for being conservative

Personally I don’t find much difference in Azhar Ali vs Asad Shafiq, both are good and need to be persisted with. Replace Hafeez with Umar Amin or Fawad Alam.

Once again our pathetic batting got brutally exposed by a lowly-ranked team. imo they just did not pick the right test team. Hafeez does not belong in tests. Both Azhar and Asad were big disappointments in this series

The game was lost in the first innings when Pakistan crumbled from 182/3 to 230 all out. They could have or should have taken a 100+/- lead from that position

Our batting is just not good enough and it gets brutally exposed in the longer versions of the game - Tests and ODIs. Younis and Misbah apart the rest of the batting is not only flimsy but also lacks quality. So maybe there is a reason for this tuk tuk (although I hate it) approach.

Its Sohaib Maqsood Would you believe that this guy was recommended by none other than Shahid Afridi for his phenomenal T20 hitting? The guy is too raw though but a fantastic hitter.

Kindly tell me which new ‘batsman’ was tried? If you are talking about Khurram Manzoor than not applicable because he isn’t a new face. They should have blooded new batsmen. We need a new aggressive mindset in our batting to compliment Misbah & Younis. Umar Akmal needs to be in the team and so does Umar Amin,

Misbah has been a great performer but his captaincy is too predictable and defensive. As a batter, he wins our hearts

In Tests Azhar averages 40.58 in 29 matches with 4 centuries and Asad averages 36.64 in 21 matches with 3 centuries, I don't see how the record is "better", yes a difference of less than 4 which is "slightly" better but not "boasts better record" :). In ODIs they do have big difference of about 14 while Asad having played 29 matches more than him.

If your team cant even cross 300 (which btw is not par in most of the cases), forget about winning anything. Not that our bench strength is any stronger but I'll replace Hafeez with anyone ....even with Shahzyeb Hasan. More sane replacement would be Taufeeq Umar though. I'll also include Umar Akmal into test side

Lastly, is Pakistan's tail worst in the world? really. I see tail winning (or drawing) matches for their teams left, right and center. You can count on good tails (like england, aussies and south africas) to get at-least 60-100 runs easily in pressing times. Pakistan's tail cant even get us 20 but again, what to talk of tail when top 3 cant get 30 regularly.
