No problem with that, the problem is that when people start putting afridi ahead of Pakistan. He is because of Pakistan and not the other way round. I have always appreciated his good performances but to run down everyone and even to wish defeat on Pakistan and consider the team as not team Pakistan unless Afridi is captain is way OTT. He is just a mediocre player, cant have our main all rounder perform once every 10 matches. Ok that is it from me no more discussion on this point in this thread.
Well-played Hafeez but is he a minnow basher? My comment is specific to his recent performances in ODIs against ‘major’ teams. Failed in CT and then again in the ODIs against Windies

I actually disagree with that statement. Razzaq has with the bat on a couple of occasions notably his heroic 109* against SA in UAE but** you would not back Afridi to win you a game with the bat in a pressure situation or batting second.** Afridi won't for instance take you from 150/6 to 250+. Razzaq can but not Afridi. Most of Afridi's good performances with the bat have come while batting first. He is a decent bowling all-rounder whose erratic batting is a bonus. Razzaq is a better batsman, Afridi a better bowler and fielder
Miandad, Inzi and in bowling Waqar esp. but also Wasim, Saqlain, Imran and Qadir won us many games single-handedly.

waqar alone has won so many matches for pakistan....between 1989-1996,that guy was simply a magician who helped us wining so many matches from disastrous positions...general rule of thumb used be that if the opponent needs 50 runs in last 10 overs with 7 wickets in hand, waqar/wasim will win it for us
What an innings by the future 'legend' of Pakistan cricket, the 'Professor' against the chicken farmers. This innigs has meant he will be in the team for next 5 years and may replace the boring Tuk Tuk as a captain.
Cant wait till the next World cup when Team Pakistan is likely to be led by the Profesor.....
