Rizwan's fifty... well-played
Re: Pak V SL - Second ODI
I like this guy, first his brilliant fielding in the first ODI and now this:
A whopping 20 runs from that over, that too off Malinga
*46.6*
Malinga to Mohammad Rizwan, 2 runs, another short ball, this one is pulled a bit wide of deep midwicket in the gap for two more
*46.5*
Malinga to Mohammad Rizwan, SIX, maybe he expected the short ball, he stayed back and smacked that over the backward square leg boundary for a clean six. There was a fielder there be he couldn't do anything
*46.4*
Malinga to Mohammad Rizwan, FOUR, another full delivery, maybe a bit slower, and Rizwan scoops it with the wrists well over the bowler's head, mid-off is in so long on runs to his left a long way but doesn't keep it in despite reaching here
Inam: "Two yellows should means not out in DRS."
*46.3*
Malinga to Mohammad Rizwan, no run, bang on target - yorker on the off stump and this time he has no choice but to block it back
*46.2*
Malinga to Mohammad Rizwan, FOUR, absolutely full on the off stump, he whacks it back just over the bowlers' head and wide of mid-off for a powerful four
*46.2*
Malinga to Mohammad Rizwan, 1 wide, stifled appeal as Rizwan looks to pull the short ball down leg, but it's called a wide
*46.2*
Malinga to Mohammad Rizwan, 1 wide, errs way down the leg side for a wide
*46.1*
Malinga to Mohammad Rizwan, 2 runs, offcutter on middle and leg, tucked away off the pads to deep midwicket and they come back quickly for the second
Re: Pak V SL - Second ODI
comical dropped catch
Re: Pak V SL - Second ODI
Rizwan out
273/7
should aim for 280-285
Re: Pak V SL - Second ODI
278/7 after 49 overs
Yasir should give the strike back to Anwar Ali who we know can hit some lusty blows
Re: Pak V SL - Second ODI
another dropped catch!
Re: Pak V SL - Second ODI
Poor fielding by SL…
Lanka to chase: 288…looks a formidable target…

Re: Pak V SL - Second ODI
287-8 isn't that bad a score :)
Hopefully the bowling can step up to defend it
Re: Pak V SL - Second ODI
287/8 Good finish by Pakistan. were in a spot of bother at 217/6
88 runs scored off the last 10 overs
bowlers need to back the batsmen up
Re: Pak V SL - Second ODI
should aim for 280-285
287-8 isn't that bad a score
2-7 runs more than required.
Re: Pak V SL - Second ODI

Re: Pak V SL - Second ODI
Good luck started/things started turning when I started posting here warna Zero ney tau koi kasar baqi nahin rehne dee :D
I reserve my judgement on Zero one's thread opening Jinx till the end of the match and despite his efforts Pak still made a good score.
Re: Pak V SL - Second ODI
I am keeping my fingers crossed for zero and Pakistan
Re: Pak V SL - Second ODI
I here by officially complain to GS “Wadera’s” to curb Ehsan uncle’s hat speech against a respected member of the GS-Society

BTW Uncle Ji it was me who first talked about a 270-280 score for this match

Now let’s wait till the bowlers steamroll SL-Batting
Just need to get Dilshan early
Re: Pak V SL - Second ODI
Kya zamana aa gaya hai aab log reality koh bhi hate speech kehtey hain. :nahi:
Re: Pak V SL - Second ODI
SL 9/0 after 1 over.
Re: Pak V SL - Second ODI
SL 9/0 after 1 over.
9 for Zero_one over
Re: Pak V SL - Second ODI
What a pedestrian start by the bowlers
Sri Lanka 27/0 (2.0 ov)
Re: Pak V SL - Second ODI
Oh Dear
2.6
Mohammad Irfan to MDKJ Perera, FOUR, just outside off, Kusal throws his bat at it and gets a thick edge just over first slip for four more! Luck for Kusal, it wasn't too far from the keeper either
2.5
Mohammad Irfan to MDKJ Perera, FOUR, this short ball is towards the batsman, he gets on top of it and pulls to the midwicket boundary for four more through the aerial route
2.5
Mohammad Irfan to MDKJ Perera, 1 wide, short ball down the leg side this time for a wide
2.4
Mohammad Irfan to MDKJ Perera, FOUR, slogged for four more, Rahat or Irfan, doesn't make a difference to Kusal. It was on length and coming in, he didn't move his feet much and dispatched it to the square leg boundary along the ground
2.3
Mohammad Irfan to Dilshan, 1 run, length delivery on the off stump, pushed gently towards mid-off and Dilshan sets off early for the run. Oh, he's left his shoe less than halfway through the run, didn't even look back at it. Let bygones be bygones
2.2
Mohammad Irfan to Dilshan, no run, closer to off stump, Dilshan pushes and gets an inside edge on the leg side
Two slips continue in this over
2.1
Mohammad Irfan to Dilshan, no run, good bounce as usual from Irfan, touch back of length outside off, Dilshan chased and missed
End of over 2 (18 runs) *Sri Lanka 27/0 *(261 runs required from 48 overs, RR: 13.50, RRR: 5.43)
- MDKJ Perera23 (9b 4x4 1x6)
- TM Dilshan4 (3b 1x4 0x6)
18 from that over, Kusal is on fire!
1.6
Rahat Ali to MDKJ Perera, SIX, top edge for six! Short ball came in, Kusal went for the pull and only got a thick top edge and the ball flew to the fine leg boundary, into the stands for six!
1.5
Rahat Ali to MDKJ Perera, no run, much straighter around the off stump, he defends it back this time
Second slip moves to cover
1.4
Rahat Ali to MDKJ Perera, FOUR, bit too short as it angles in, he pivots on the back foot and swat-pulls it just wide of short fine leg for four. Irfan barely moved at that position
1.3
Rahat Ali to MDKJ Perera, FOUR, fullish on off, Kusal stays back and whips that away fearlessly behind square on the leg side for four more. What confidence!
1.2
Rahat Ali to MDKJ Perera, no run, touch back of length outside off, he cuts it straight to point
Aftab.Dawn: "@Heli: all fine, we are fasting & enjoying Cricket."
1.1
Rahat Ali to MDKJ Perera, FOUR, full delivery with room, Kusal swings his arms and connects this time, slammed over the covers for a cracking four!
Rahat Ali from the other end
