It seems, wicket is giving some help to bowlers. If it was not for Hafeez, Pakistan would have been 150 for 7. Another thing I noticed is that players are a bit sombre and cautious. There is little aggression and little jubilation.

Actually, 150 for 8 if Hafiz had made 17 (quite usual score for Hafiz most of the time, scoring below 20 :)).
But in this match, one have to appreciate Hafiz batting. Rest flopped. It is because of Hafiz 197 runs, we have decent score.

Actually, rest of the batsmen scored 144 runs.
9 runs out of those 153 runs (total - Hafiz) is extra. :(

Anyhow, if pitch is difficult to play than it is good news, as 351 runs (thanks to Hafiz) on good pitch is good score. If Pakistan also bowls well and take wickets as NZ did (and no NZ players get stuck there, as Hafiz did), than probably we might be able to get them out at below 200 runs.

My feeling is that, test result is most likely and the match would not end in draw.
I hope Pakistan send NZ team to pavilion in next 100 overs with score below 300. That would mean, ~ 210 overs left. Play 100 overs making another 300 runs, than declare (or get out making around 300 runs), leaving NZ to score 350 runs in last around 110 overs (~20 overs on 4th day and 90 overs on last day).

Highest number of 6s in an inning by a player (Sharma) = 16 ... but that is in ODI inning.

So, McCullum is half way there with 8 sixes for any type of game, and 4 short to equal W Akram 12 sixes
This is highest number of sixes against Pakistan by any player.

Pakistan added only 70 runs with 7 wickets to first day’s score of 281/3, I was hoping they will be able to cross 400 
NZ scored 249/1 at 5.53 RPO while Pakistan scored 351 at 2.79 RPO which is bad. One player scores close to a double 100 while none of the other members score a 50 
. I hope batsmen come back to their senses in next inning and rescue the game, otherwise looks like B McCullum is running away with the show.

Pakistan has the Kiwis exactly where they want them.
Look for the Younis-Misbah tear jerker in the second inning. The Kiwis will come begging to suspend the game and agree to a draw.
