Something I noticed in scorecard is really surprising. Pakistani bowlers and wicket keeper are doing good job, as Pakistan conceded no extras after 53 overs and 151 runs on board … 0 NB, 0 Wide, 0 B, 0 LB.

Pakistan normally used to concede lot of extras, something like around 2 runs or more per 10 overs … so after 53 overs there should have been normally 10 to 15 runs extras or more.

In absence of professor, Pakistan don't have any option for 5th bowler. But I think they can use Younis and Azhar for change.

This is also a test or young bowlers who were previously bowling with heavy score card but right now I am feeling the absence of 5th part time bowler.

Zulfiqar is very expensive today and bowled 23 overs, Yasir got only 12.

Zulfiqar Babar to Latham, 1 run, dropped at silly point! The flighted delivery drew the edge as Taylor pushed at it towards the off side, edge flew to silly point where Azhar Ali could not hold on to it

Winning toss doesn't necessarily mean a win, a huge score might. NZ seems to have learned their lesson.

Good show by NZ but they scored at 2.79 so Pakistan can still catch up tomorrow. It will be best to keep them under 350. Once 1st inning corsses 400 mark, team batting second get too much scoreboard pressure and Pakistan actually get scoreboard pressure even after 200.

I watched first half an hour of the day and could say easily it'd be a long day for bowlers. Flat wickets, no turn for spinners. You cant blame bowlers either. Now the only hope is if the current pair is get rid of, there'll be a chance to remove the rest quickly as dont think they hv too much depth.
