This is an unbelievable victory. First victory after losing 5 ODI’s.

I think my opening the thread had something to do with it.

You should be grateful to Decent as he went back to work and since then… impossible thing happened… Pakistan managed to get the total of 240+ while they have lost 5 wickets with only 80 odd runs on the board

I just dont understnd the logic of playing Younus Khan in ODI. He performed really well in test but that does not mean he can do in ODI too. Just because of his big mouth, PCB had bowed down to him. Reason being Misbah & Younus cant play in one team. Both are inning builders.

and finally Umar Akmal should be must in ODI and T20

I have admired Afridi tonight in my posts# 51, 69 and 137 for his sensible/responsible performance…that showed that he can bat like all others…if he

continues with that kind of attirude…Pakistan may have some chance in the upcoming world cup…

PS: Afridi’s responsible and sensible batting was a major contributor next to Sohail’s batting (the MoM) for the victory of Pakistan…

Good victory but this team has too many liability players in it. Hafeez, Shafiq and Younis are proven ODI failures and a newbie like Sohail is not going to come good often. Afridi is done playing his responsible inning of the decade. They really need Umar Akmal and Fawad Alam in the team and Azhar Ali as opener. On the bowling front also Sohail is not going to come through most of the time. They need to bring another pacer/all rounder in place of Gul. Younis actually might come in handy as a seamer in Australia. If Ajmal becomes eligible he come in place of Gul, otherwise the young left armer from T20 should be slotted to play.

I think Gul should be replaced with Bilawal Bhatti.
