and i agree with 'earthquake'... afridi should be brought back.. not as an opener.. his bowling is of commendable quality.

so who should be dropped since there can only be 11 players in team.He being an spinner I guess only a spinner can be dropped.Which means either Shoib malik or Hafeez sits out?
Not a wise idea I would say.

hmmz i dunno.. he's pretty good though... well he could be kept as a backup..
Afridi is the thing of the past, much as I would love to see him comeback as a better batsman specially under the guidance of Miandad but its not going to happen.
Pakistan's approach after the WC is a fresh start, meaning giving chances to fresh young faces, bringing Afridi back in the team would cause more problems and Pakistan cricket will be back to 1st base instead of moving ahead.
*Credit where it's due I believe; the boys fought well after an ass-kicking on Friday. I hope now that the selectors can stick with them, and not make senseless changes for the sake of "experimentation". Really. People, That Is All.*
Afridi if he comes back ever will do so only as a batsman, with his young age and relatively extensive experience he can still play for us for a while, but with the great young spinners we have (2 all rounders + Danish) his bowling is not overly usefull
In the future, expecially with the series against BD approaching I would love to see some other young guys getting a shot, Imran and Humayun Farhat, Bilal Asad and even Faisal Iqbal and Hasan Raza again
You can add Shastri and Botham to the growing list of fans of the new look Pakistan side.
My view is that it’s going to take a year or two for this side to reach anywhere near it’s potential as the top order batting still isn’t established. Inzi will need to be brought back in to give us a dominant figure, someone capable of smashing the opposition singlehandedly. The young lads are ok but none of them come close to him in terms of class and he’s still got plenty to offer at 32.
I think PCB shouls stick with these guys for a while now. They've proved to be strong enough to fight til the end, and that's what makes these guys special. Inzi would be make middle-order batting lineup better, but we don't really need him but it would take a lot of pressure off of young guys.
Give 100% of yourself on the ground and fight til the end, that's what most of us wants from Pak players. Winning and losing is part of the game.

Yes I agree, I don't mind losing matches after a hard fought battle like the one at Lords. The guys gave their all and were unlucky not to win. That is all you can ask. As Kashur said, win or lose is part of the game. It is how you play the game that matters.
