Saby Bhai,

I do agree with you, but my question is why is he still there, isnt PCB/Selectors looking at his performance.

Waise he should not even wait for PCB or the Selectors, he should Gracefully quit.

Salam Guys,

:teary1: wat a pity situation :frowning:

ok peeps wasalam warahmatullah wa barakatahu.:)

Actually the thing is, Bob Woolmer prefers people with all-round skills and that is not a secret. He believes Kamran Akmal is not adequate with bat. Plus Inzi has also been saying in his interviews that Moin will come off soon means that he wants him in the team. Selectors must have reviewed his performances many times and must be divided over the decision but they dont want any controversies on selectorial matters anymore and they are persisting with Moin. Sad state of affairs but true. Bob Woolmer and Inzimam must move on, Moin's batting form is not coming back since a while and it is time. Heck if they cannot find anyone, bring back Rashid Latif, at least he will keep brilliantly. But After Rashid's stupid antics during indo pak series, no one would bring him back.

Kamran Akmal scored a first class hundred two days ago reminding selectors of his batting form. Zulqarnain Haider has a decent batting record as well as a keeping one. He deserves a look in. Heck anyone but Moim. Time to look beyond friendship, Inzi!!

nice catch.. thanks for sharing

we have some serious problems going into the the tour with the Aussies.

Inzamam’s captaincy is the biggest one of all. Moin’s form is the second biggest problem…and our ODI team is pretty decent, but our test team is pathetic. All you Asim Kamal lovers got to see what he’s all about. Both innings he got out patheticly. I wonder who’s brilliant idea it was to play Razzaq in the test team…especially against a bowling attack like Sri Lanka, which consists of more spinners than fast bowlers. We all know Razzaq cannot play spin bowling. Bob Woolmer :smack: Having said all that…everyone is human and make mistakes and this was Pakistan’s first test match under Bob. Hopefully he would have learned a lot after this defeat.

Man I wish we had Rashid Latif :frowning: The guy just runs his mouth way too much…and thats his downfall. Do anything…try anyone as keeper but please someone get rid of Moin. Im tired of his average keeping and extremely poor batting. Even Danish Kaneria looks more comfortable batting than Moin does.

^^ i would only like to add about Asim Kamal, I think this was his first failure, other wise he batted well against india and south africa..

replace razzaq and moin .. other boys did well .. it was only jayasuriya who turned the game around .. and ferdinand fernando .. ..

malek played well .. :k: .. :k: ..

who will be replacing Sami .. ? .. Riaz Afridi ?

hopefully :k:
another afridi sigh

i agree with u, but its better to replace him with a younger player like farhan adil so that he can hang around for a couple of years

apart from shabi and sialkotia we were pathetic, deserved to lose. :k: drop moin and razzaq plz and a possible all rounder for now would be azhar mehmood atleast he can take wickets as well as score runs!

drop sami until he can learn to perform and play riaz afridi no rana. shabbira was supposed to be fit in time for the tests where is he? moin just hang up your boots yaar you are finsihed, play younis khan or asim kamal as wicket/batsmen until youngsters like zulqar’ and kamran akmal are ready to handle the pressure of tests and odi’s!

 Pakistan drop wicket-keeper Moin ](BBC SPORT | Cricket | Pakistan drop wicket-keeper Moin)

Veteran wicket-keeper Moin Khan has been axed by Pakistan after Sunday’s heavy Test defeat to Sri Lanka.

“Moin has been dropped - we have called up Kamran Akmal for the second Test on the request of the team management,” said chief selector Wasim Bari.

Moin Khan, now aged 33, made his Test match debut in 1990

A third gloveman, Zulqarnain Haider, is also in the 15-man squad for Karachi but at the age of 18 is thought to be too raw for the international arena.

Out-of-form former captain Moin has played 69 Tests for his country.

“He has been struggling for batting form,” said Bari, adding that former captain Rashid Latif is under consideration for a recall to the team.

Akmal, 22, has played six Tests and 12 one-day internationals. His last Test appearance was against India in Rawalpindi in April.

Fast bowler Riaz Afridi could make his Test debut in Karachi after Mohammad Sami was ruled out of the match with a groin strain.

good to hear that Moin is finally being dropped, but bringing back Rashid Latif could be a mistake though we need an expert keeper like him.
