Neither me nor any of my extended family has oppressed anyone in my knowledge. The reason why I took my caste was, that Brahmins for Hindus are the like Sunni’s for Muslims. It is kind of odd that the most opposing (in idealogies) congregate at some point. Both the people have a passion for their religion, deeply religious.

I will stop here, as I do not want to derail this thread with offtopic discussions.

Well if they say they want to leave Islam you guys would have killed her right? It’s an easy way to keep people in the faith - threaten to cut off their heads and then say “free will” Even the mafia don’t make such claims. If you guys believe your faith is so good then why do you have to threaten death to those who want to leave it, like that poor Afghan guy Rahman? Why would anyone dare to leave when his head is going to be cutoff by some mullah induced gang?

Just another reason I am proud to be Pakistani.
If three girls get kidnapped or three hundred does it matter?
How can I sympathise with that?
I have more important issues, like winning an argument?
At the end of the day what the big deal they were non muslim, and now they have a reason to be proud that they are muslims now, forcefully or by their own will does not matter.

Above story is another example of free society India has and I feel proud of it.

As of your comment on Hindu women, I just feel sick at your mentality and shudder to think that how much more pain to your own and people around you, will people of your thought process will bring…

India is so free that the feminine hindu police boys had to arrest a hindu girl because she wanted to marry a masculine muslim man. Face it, your country is a hindu rashtra.

I wonder how well the champions of Islam would rest if in India, young teenaged Muslim girls were being kidnapped or “running away” only to reemerge professing full allegience to the Hindu faith?
I doubt any one would be willling to give these girls the benefit of the doubt.

If voluntarily done, it is their indivfidual and family matter. But if abduction or forcible conversion is true then it is a criminal offence and should be considered an insult to both communities. But how to establish truth of matter?

One of my very distant relatives in India married a Hindu guy and became Hindu herself. It didn’t involve running away, she declared it in front of her family.

However, given that at least one case occured like this it’s believable that it could also happen through elopement.

I know of several Muslim women in India of all persuasions - Shia, Sunni etc who have married Hindu or Christian men without the Husband convering to Islam. One of my relatives married a Muslim woman. It happens all the time.
