That’s amazing progress made under the Musharraf govt. Before he came to power in 1999 remittances were only around 1 or 1.5 billion dollars a year, mainly because Nawaz Sharif decided to loot the foreign currency acccounts. The fact that foreign remittances have climbed to an impressive $7 billion dollars a year under Musharraf is another unprecedented economic achievment.
