Pak-Eng - 4th ODI (d/n) @ Nottingham - 8 Sep. 06

Re: Pak-Eng - 4th ODI (d/n) @ Nottingham - 8 Sep. 06

There is nothing wrong with the bowling.
Don't expect England to simply loose all the games. Its a regular professional team and ofcourse will win sometimes too.

Why drop half of our team after this match. Give it a break

Re: Pak-Eng - 4th ODI (d/n) @ Nottingham - 8 Sep. 06

His stature is probably too big for us to criticize him but it was really Yousuf today who put us in this hole we can't get out of. We are 40 runs short on this wicket, and Yousuf's 80 balls 27 not only wasted valuable balls, but also made Inzimam's efforts to rebuild ineffective.

Re: Pak-Eng - 4th ODI (d/n) @ Nottingham - 8 Sep. 06

Strauss gone.

Re: Pak-Eng - 4th ODI (d/n) @ Nottingham - 8 Sep. 06

Andrew Strauss would have long gone if our slip fielders (read: keeper) weren't standing too deep. :(

Re: Pak-Eng - 4th ODI (d/n) @ Nottingham - 8 Sep. 06

In the next match, I think Shahid Yousuf shud replace Malik if the pitch is alright and Afridi can open, and Gul can replace Rana.

Re: Pak-Eng - 4th ODI (d/n) @ Nottingham - 8 Sep. 06

Time to apply enough pressure for required rate to jump to close to 6.

Re: Pak-Eng - 4th ODI (d/n) @ Nottingham - 8 Sep. 06

You read my mind. I closely monitored the scorecard earlier and immediately glanced at the number of deliveries Yousuf faced, and suddenly got a shock. We lost at least four to five overs in that drainage, if not more.

Re: Pak-Eng - 4th ODI (d/n) @ Nottingham - 8 Sep. 06

Good decision to make Asif bowl to Pieterson. At the minimum he'll be cautious and might allow us to push the required rate up.

Re: Pak-Eng - 4th ODI (d/n) @ Nottingham - 8 Sep. 06

Why did they bring Yousaf into the squad if they are not going to play him. Surely, he is not going to do any worse thanthis over-rated Malik.

Re: Pak-Eng - 4th ODI (d/n) @ Nottingham - 8 Sep. 06

Expect the major...major collapse now... :D

Re: Pak-Eng - 4th ODI (d/n) @ Nottingham - 8 Sep. 06

Well Yousuf is a fine player but it doesn't mean that he can get away whenever. he is blamed for the low score today. This game could be surely ours.
I couldn't understand, was he only trying to save his wicket. Did he forget that it was an ODI not a test.

Re: Pak-Eng - 4th ODI (d/n) @ Nottingham - 8 Sep. 06

Asif nearly got a third wicket :(

Re: Pak-Eng - 4th ODI (d/n) @ Nottingham - 8 Sep. 06

Unfortunately nearly doesn't count for much.

Re: Pak-Eng - 4th ODI (d/n) @ Nottingham - 8 Sep. 06

Hmmmm... bhut barish ho rhee hay aaj, saray barsati keeray dil bhar kar naha rhay hoon gay aaj:D

Re: Pak-Eng - 4th ODI (d/n) @ Nottingham - 8 Sep. 06

I can understand that he wasn't really timing the ball well, and given that we had already lost two wickets, was being cautious. But beign cautious in an ODI is not the same as being cautious ina test match. In a ODI game, you try to take singles every now and then and at least keep your rate up to 65+ percent. But 27 of 80! That's criminal.

Re: Pak-Eng - 4th ODI (d/n) @ Nottingham - 8 Sep. 06

what a strategy: Bell didn't take a single on purpose so Pietersen doesn't have to face asif.:D

Re: Pak-Eng - 4th ODI (d/n) @ Nottingham - 8 Sep. 06

I'm expecting a Petiersen SIX anytime now.

Re: Pak-Eng - 4th ODI (d/n) @ Nottingham - 8 Sep. 06

GET PIETERSON OUT. I sure would like to see an egg of Gower's face.

Re: Pak-Eng - 4th ODI (d/n) @ Nottingham - 8 Sep. 06

lol Pietersen purposely didn't take the third.

Re: Pak-Eng - 4th ODI (d/n) @ Nottingham - 8 Sep. 06
