Re: Pak-Eng - 4th ODI (d/n) @ Nottingham - 8 Sep. 06

Dear Afridi:

This shows that you are still missing my point.

I am not here to make predictions. I am not here to make bets. I am not here to prove myself right. I have already conceded earlier in this thread that Pakistan may very well lose this match. I did not make claims that Pakistan would win this match for egotistical reasons.

My point has been something else. I have been trying to get it across that even an ODI match consists of two innings of 50 overs each, and to start lamenting and cursing our team 20 overs into the FIRST innings of the match is uncalled for. To criticize is one thing, to become a prophet of doom entirely another. We gather here to enjoy the match together, making this place a virtual sports club. And it just spoils it for all of us when a few people start cursing and lamenting the team 20 overs into a match. If we, THE FANS, can't hope for a win after a rough patch in the game, why should we expect the TEAM TO FIGHTBACK after getting into a difficult position?

We may win this match, and we may lose it. And if England win it, good for them, we don't have a divine right to win every game. We should enjoy all 100 overs of a game by enjoying the ups and down, fightbacks and difficult situations. If we only wanted to enjoy the win, we would only come here after the match was over and gloat.

Cheers.

Re: Pak-Eng - 4th ODI (d/n) @ Nottingham - 8 Sep. 06

yea but compare the experience between English spinners who have taken only 11 wickets as compare to 320 by Pakistani spinners.

Re: Pak-Eng - 4th ODI (d/n) @ Nottingham - 8 Sep. 06

Fcuk off.

Re: Pak-Eng - 4th ODI (d/n) @ Nottingham - 8 Sep. 06

im comparing batting lineups, england don't give away wickets as easily...but i do think the spinners shud be brought in...pace isn't working.

Re: Pak-Eng - 4th ODI (d/n) @ Nottingham - 8 Sep. 06

Lol yea we have seen that English batting lineups during 20/20 and previous ODIs ;)
You'll see spinners after 20 Overs
