Pack up and move

Re: Pack up and move

I’d love to go to Greece. The bright blue sea and the white houses look so awesome. <3 <3 <3

@ Mezghan

Did you take all those pics? Post more pics so I can put up new wallpapers! :hypo:

Re: Pack up and move

It’s not really the weather or traffic which is a deal breaker for me. Just overall a place I’ve travelled to extensively and could see as a potential second home.

I think a great work opportunity, a good life for kids, safety, etc. weighs more for me than weather. That’s why I love living where I am (Toronto) despite the snow in the winter..

Re: Pack up and move

Lahore - Pakistan.

Re: Pack up and move

Rio or somewhere in Swiss Alps… (quite opposite choices I have)!

Re: Pack up and move

NY. Visited there twice in the past year and liked the hustle bustle and diversity.

Re: Pack up and move

^ :k:

Do you guys ever worry about wanting to move somewhere because of the charm you felt during a short visit?
What if the charm wears off? And you’re stuck :bummer:

Re: Pack up and move

I don’t think so, at least I hope not. I grew up in KSA and I liked the diversity there, which is why I’m drawn to NY.

Re: Pack up and move

southern california… la jolla or laguna beach, specifically… i lived there for a couple of years…wouldn’t mind settling down…good schools… not too far from big metros… disneyland..beaches

Re: Pack up and move

Barcelona, Spain. I left my heart there. I keep telling my husband that when we retire inshallah, that is where we’re headed.

Actually, my dream would probably be to divide my time between US/Spain/UAE after retirement.

Re: Pack up and move

I totally agree, dude. I love NY, especially NYC. Plus being able to get what ever you want, no matter how random, at what ever time of the night you “need”… super plus!! :k: Who doesn’t need ice cream, flip flops, and bug spray at 4am?

The state, however,(mostly up north… where the population of cows exceeds humans :hehe: ) not so much.

Re: Pack up and move

Man that sounds like such an ideal place to live/ raise a fam bam… but I dono why, I just don’t like Cali. And I’ve never even been there!! :bummer:

Re: Pack up and move

:hmmm: interesting!
What about Barcelona specifically do you like?

Re: Pack up and move

The climate…proximity to both mountains and sea…the vibrancy…food scene…the lovely people…cafe culture…siestas…the history and gothic architecture…I loved everything about Barca!

Re: Pack up and move

In US, NYC would be my choice if I could live anywhere. I like the bright lights of big cities

Re: Pack up and move

:hehe: there’s a joke in Punjabi that I heard during my last visit to Pak…
“Pendu aye battiyan vekhan” … Simply meaning the simple minded folks come to the city for the lights… versus other luxuries :rotfl:

Why did I hear this… because I ooh’d and aah’d at the lights :sid:

Re: Pack up and move

^Lol. Lights are a big part of the the night-time allure; they add a liveliness.

Re: Pack up and move

of course work but i LOVE New Zealand, it’s landscape, it’s people and the weather. Dunedin is a beautiful place.

USA or Canada. Why? Cause the girls have awesome accents and there seems to be less drama attached than ukers.

Re: Pack up and move

Mosul.
