Uhm, I have come across many many many many many many desis in my life, and only 1 person had colored eyes...so I don't think its as common as ppl say it is.

^Agree. I've seen several attractive Bengalis that have both colored and dark eyes...most of them dark-eyed. But I don't think that the feature occurs often enough among the majority of South Asians.....for it to be considered "common."

Hazel eyes are common among South Asians. Yeah you don't see every other desi with hazel eyes but it is a common alternative to the dark brown that is prominent. Several of my family members have hazel eyes and I have seen many Inidans with hazel eyes as well.

Are you kidding me? That woman is a beauty! What ever colour she wears, she looks fabulous. She looks pretty even in the simplest of clothes but I have to admit she looked hopeless on her own wedding.

Some of you are being too harsh on Aishwarya.

Aishwerya Rai was exoticness personified in her early career. She really looked like a mix of two/three different nationalities with literally having the best of everything: huge romantic blue-grey eyes, full lips, sun kissed complexion, dark luscious hair, perfectly chiseld bone structure with slightly fuller face and thicker body but more importantly, she actually a mysterious and charming personality. I would certainly call her looks empty, plastic and overrrated for today but I certainly understand why she was once rated so highly. She thoroughly deserved it. Now she's more like a brand and mega movie star than a beauty queen.

She has nice pair of eyes that still look stunning with brown contacts. No it not common at all for Bengali (or Shouth Indian in her case) to have blue-grey eyes.

I thought Kim was prettier before she tweaked her nose and botoxed her face. Now she looks more artificial. I think the more often you heavily paint your face...and pull and tug at your skin...you're just speeding up the aging process.

Ashwarya rai, agreeing with Jolie, she used to be such a natural beauty (like in josh with srk) but just sort of became plasticky after devdas
Kim kardashian, looks like every ‘after’ procedure picture. Hot but not real.

But in all honesty, what i wouldnt give to look even half as good as them!

I also first thought of Halle Berry and Kristen Stewart. I think Halle Berry is just average and i don't find Kirsten Stewart pretty at all, i hate her expressions too (talking about magazine covers etc)

Also Mirranda Kerr, Adriana Lima, Kim Kardashian of couuuuurse, Megan Fox, she has a scary face.

I think Aishwarya is beautiful. Not necessarily because of the eyes because i found her prettier in Jodha Akbar, and Daffy, i agree with you.

I like Kareena Kapoor when she's wearing little make up (like in 3 idiots or Jab we met)
