a few people’s dependence on chai does not mean that our nation is addicted to chi, yes yes we may drink 2 gallons of tea per capita but that does not mean everyone does it, maybe there are a few chai-a-holics in Thar desert drinking their weight in chai every hour.
(oh…sorry fraudia…i didnt see ur message. oh well. maybe saying it twice will drive it home better
Hey..North Indians are Chai-a-holics i can vouch for that there are Chai shops in almost each and every street corner in the cities and even in the tiny villages. In the evening 4 to P.M is chai time. Evening tea is mostly chai is taken with Samosas, Pakoras, Namkeen or Aloo tikkis. People drink Chai thoughout the day..anytime is Chai time.
You all guys are wrong. We drink chai, coffee because we want to look like gora sahib.
Dhoodh pati sucks. The best is Twining's Earl Grey. Dip it in hot water for 5 minutes and cover the cup, add lil bit of cremer and voila. Any other Earl grey brand sucks. Goes best with toasted English muffin (another consumer product indictive of our English slave mentality) in the morning.
I like to believe that I am not “addicted” to chaey. I just have to have tea in the morning and here n there a couple of times during the day. sips on her tea
Like
pls.. i am not going to scream in agony if there was no chaey left on earth. another sip
Some people can’t make chaey. There is always something missing or it’s just not right when you have it at someone else’s place. May be it’s just me.. but I only like it the way i make it.
Bu then living on campus means my kitchen consists of the microwave. I’ve grown used to the english tea…a tea bag.. scalding hot water, a tea spoon of sugar, cream…leave the bag until it can’t get any darker. and there. that’s my tea. I make doodh patti for my dad when i am home.. it’s good stuff.. i was hooked on it once..
It’s funny but only a very few of my brown friends like chaey…the ones that do.. i’m partly to blame for. And the rest.. i am still working on.
