i went to a wedding where the girl cousins decided to play the newlywed game with a twist.

the bride and groom were asked questions before hand and at the reception they were asked the questions infront of everyone. they were very random things like what’s such and such’s favorite type of pizza or car or bollywood film and so forth. it’s groom vs. bride and so whenever the groom did well he got a point on a poster that another cousin was holding. his side was hooting and cheering so when the bride did well we were screaming and clapping for her support. the fun part was at the end of the game because the host of the game said something like “oh it looks like a close race but to give ______ a chance this final question will be worth (and list 100 points or something obvious to secure the win).” naturally the side that’s ahead is like booo bad idea and the host is like common let’s be nice and give them a chance they are a guest in our city or whatever (add some personal touch there).

Final question was asked to both the groom and bride. If you had to gve your best impression of the bride/groom how would it be? They take the mic and start acting like one another and it’s hilarious! man my friend went for a low blow and made fun of him for being such a mama’s boy it was tastefully done, no hard feelings and was just super funny. the host puts her hand over the groom and everyone claps then over the bride and whoever has more applause from the crowd wins. And her side wins.

both ways it’s a fun game because it’s entertaining, relatives that are not familiar with the couple can kinda get to know them and it has the whole room smiling, laughing and cheering.

THAT SOUNDS LIKE A BLAST!!!
