Interstingly, religiously speaking, organ donation should not give you any monetary gains but organ snatching (if some one snatches your organ by force) makes you entitled of either asking for his same organ back in return (an eye for an eye kind of deal) or simply ask for Fidyaa.
So is there a loop hole around that concept. If I want to sell my kidney for money, can I go through that alternate route and have somneone snatch that from me so I can get paid
So lets say a person’s sibling is in bad condition. He donates a kidney. The harming can be a possiblility. But at the same time there is no other match. So what happens then.
. I dont get into fatwas and what not cause people become too emotional but this is how it goes. Please read the whole thing
taking out a useful part of your body, whether you are alive or dead, is haram in islam. But when someone's life is in danger, haram becomes halal, like one can eat pork to save life. Thus at that time giving organ becomes halal.
Because oragn donation in 99.99% of the case happens so a life can be saved, thus organ donation is halal in Islam
and yes, I am sure that it could be considered Sadiqa'e'jaareeya
just curious to know, so doesn’t the ‘opting in to donate your organs for scientific research’ also fulfills the three guidelines that you jotted down??? especially the last one, as sometimes researches on the organs rewards not just one life but many???
as for me, my organs were given to me, they are mine, and i will take them with me to my qabar…
call me selfish or whatever, but thats just how i am

If you read my post above, I said that I decided to be a donor when I was 17... much before I even started to look into scholarly discourse on the issue. On the outset, you're right though - indirectly, scientific research does help save lives too - but I guess, as a personal preference, I'd rather donate to somebody directly to save his/her life.
