Yes, but as i said in reality we need to follow a balanced approach. Optimism is hopefulness about future or successful outcome of something. It does not necessarily regard the complexity of the problem and possibility for a solution of problem.
Realistic approach is as important as optimism is and they are not same.
Here, the term realism implies that it can only be achieved at the cost of reducing optimism. so you have to lower your optimism to be realistic.
That is what I think.
