Actually I am not too disheartened by the run chase. 137 was always going to test Pakistan and Pak were always in control until the final over

Besides it is sometimes difficult to motivate yourself against lesser teams

If superman can do it, Afridi can do it... You need run a ball and your senior batsman can't even do that in cruch situation. Yeah, that's what I call being clueless.

Did n't play the last over very well. Hafeez and Afridi looked tense. Both tried to hit the ball too hard rather than doing it in singles and doubles

did i see a different over.....afridi faced 3 balls...2 were huge wides and one was played sensibly by lala to take a single... hafiz also did the same...i did not see them trying to hit too hard

No Sir Jee. Both Hafeez and Afridi seemed under huge pressure because of their recent bad performances with the bat

I am not talking about the two over the head wide balls. The second ball was a widish delivery which Hafeez misjudged and left. A better batsman would have negotiated it past the keeper for four. And then on the 4th ball Afridi went for a wild slog, missed it and was almost run out at non striker's end!

we can agree to disagree on the last over

but if we talk about our overall innings, i do agree that hafiz was under pressure....umar akmal too. we played way too many dot balls. afghans bowled some good yorkers but they also bowled many length balls and somehow every time we tried to hit those balls, they ended up straight to a fielder....that shows execution was poor because some of our players are short on confidence.

I still think we could have finished the match earlier and we made it too tense and too close...had the bowler not bowled 2 wides in the last over (and 4 byes in the previous over), we would have lost the match..we played alomst 50 dot balls....so out o0f 20 overs, 8 were maiden!

The 2014 ICC World Twenty20 is being played in Bangladesh in March

There is a chance that they may not qualify for a tournament hosted in their country

​Nepal, Bangladesh, Afghanistan and Hong Kong are together in Group A, and only the winner will qualify

I will be shocked if Afghanistan doesn’t get test status within next 5 years. All they need is a couple of good middle order batsmen. I know I’ll be rooting for them. :k:
