and STILL: never a karma wedding dress for me.. i'd rather get something made from the adda. It's not that i necessarily hate them.. but they are super common here, real and rip offs. Plus i like intricate stuff like sana safinaz, thats where my bridals coming from...

Both Sana Safinaz and Karma bridas are beautiful. BR and Sumo looked stunning in Karma, I'm sure you'll in rock SS. To each their own.

soooo overpriced, wow! its definitely special pricing for overseas clients, which is ridiculous, but maybe they're struggling and need the cash. i dont know... i love karma and i've loved everything they've done so far, but their latest collection was a HUGE disappointment.

Hate to break it to you girls, but the prices seem representative of the ones I was given at 'The Designers' in Karachi, except for a couple of the bridals which are way overpriced (probably because they're quite popular).
I guess it would come down to some hard core bargaining on the clients part to get a decent discount.

Ive noticed that designers absolutely love giving u high quotes Ziggy hehheheh--Nomi, Karma...etc
Parkha Zeb e-mailed me the quotes.......and yes they were less than the website

then the other cousin i am talking about, she actually got the dress for her bhabhi to wear on her walima. it was ivory with dull godl and silver work.. like a full shirt and a heavy lehnga and all the works.. again 1 lakh.

Another cousin of mine got married 3 years ago.. she went to hsy .. he quoted her 2.5 lakhs for a dress. the dress btw was amazing work EVERYWHERE! awesome.. she found it two expensive went looking around other designers.. but decided she loves tht one...
Next time she went to order and asked the price AND he said 1 lakh ?!??!!? i know right!
but thats the fact.
These dresses in COST terms cost no more than 30-40 thousand MAX! so i guess its upto the designer to charge however much they want.. or rather however much discount they wanna give...
