I specifically mentioned the Shakti Mills rape case. Would you classify that as a hate crime ?

Well the Shakti mills case isnt a hate crime, its just some poor girl being in the wrong place at the wrong time. Its just a crime.

Now this case could also be a crime of lust, and just fall into the category of “just another robbery/rape.”

But when you have a group off men who specifically target a church or convent, and then go about ransacking the place and having their way with head mother, that raises suspicions. Especially in the context of the current hostility emanating from an emboldened Hindu right. To say that it doesnt at the very least hint at some degree of religion based bigotry, would be deluded.

Now imagine if you will, how you would classify a similar crime that were to target a Hindu institution. Lets say a group of Muslim men attacked a Hindu temple and raped Hindu women worshiping there. Then they robbed the place and destroyed property. Would you call that just another crime? Forget average run of the mill criminal, Indians would be up in arms over the terrorists attacking Hindu temples and raping every Hind woman they can get their lecherous hands on! Muslims would be strung up over night ! They might even dig up a connection with Pakistan!

Sorry, but I just don’t get the hypocrisy. If this is a hate crime, so is the Shakti Mills rape.

And before I forget, its not been established yet that the perpetrators in this case were Hindus. And there is evidence that indicates a conspiracy.

One of the suspects in the nun rape case has been arrested in Mumbai. And turns out his name is Sikandar Sheikh alias Salim. Now that does not sound Hindu to me.

Well, Im actually surprised because I believed that there must be a reason of all the hype about india being one of the biggest ‘secular and peaceful’ state in the world and that all the indians’ claims that minorities in india enjoy equal rights were actually based on truth.
