kettle works very well if you like your tea without milk or with very little milk. I like my tea very hot. putting cold milk in your tea makes it cold (unless you use hot milk >> which means more dishes to do afterwards 
all that for one cup of tea 
). microwave is easy way out for lazy people like me …
