You might not have but I have. I cant remember the exact words but the guy interviewing him asked him what was his reaction as that six was hit and he replied with that as the six soared so our confidence nosedived and he later on admitted in that interview that it affected the psyche of the Indian team for sometime to come.

I would agree with confidence nosediving part but it is different than running away from Sharjah. Fact is India did play in Sharjah immediately after 1986 and they did so untill 2000.So your comment that India ran away from Sharjah after THAT SIX is ridiculous.

Those days relation between fixing Mafia ( likes of Dawood Ibrahim and Gang) and Sharjah cricket board was very ‘warm’ and Sharjah was considered mecca of fixer. If they can fix players, poor sri lankan umpires were easy target.
