Yes i was referring to this heat and her chances of qualifying for the next stage from this one.

I don't think winning the heats matter. It's the 16 swimmers with best times out of all 8 heats that advance to the semi-final. You could be the last swimmer in your heat and still advance to the semis if your time is good enough.
I hope she wins her heat cuz theres no competation. i dont even kno what countries the last three swimmers are from.

Yes. That´s exactly the way it is. So even if Rubab wins her heat (which is a very weak one anyway), she would only go through to the Semis, if her time is amongst the Top 16.

she didnt do well in her heat either, 30.something seconds and 5th rank i think. hopefully next olympics she'll have a chance.

Yeah. She still has a lot of time to improve her swimming. Beijing 2008 is waiting.
Well she is not out but she has very little chances of winning with her time compared to others. She needs to improve further and she has plenty of time for that.
Rubab Raza was 5th...oh well. she has accomlished a lot for a 13 year old. and like someone said, there is 2008. i hope she can win atleast a bronze. but for this time, this was a wonderful effort for her.

No matter what, I’m still proud of all our Pakistani athletes. If they had all the facilities of bigger and more advanced countries, the tables would be turned.
