~Olive in Islam~

Re: ~Olive in Islam~

Hareem....No need of arguing with some fools.

The Book of Allah - Quran is a miracle for the whole humanity. If anyone is not taking heed and just following his ego and desires, then just leave them.

They will only understand when some gora scientist from Americas will tell them about benefits of olives over other fruits. Then they would go running eating it and praising it. Its just a mentality i am pointing out.

Other fruits have their own benefits. All that is in the heavens and the earth belongs to Allah.

Regarding the article you posted. JazakAllah. Thanks for sharing.

Re: ~Olive in Islam~

It's (olive) not native in pakistan i think?

Re: ~Olive in Islam~

yes, it not indeginous in Pakistan....

Re: ~Olive in Islam~

Please don't assume that just because someone doesn't believe the Quran is a miracle for the whole humanity that one is following his ego and desires. It's not an either, or scenario. There could be many reasons why one doesn't believe it, none of which has to do with being a fool.

Gora scientists already told me of the benefits of olives, thank you. And I already eat it and occasionally praise it. But I don't limit my knowledge, diet and love of produce to the culture of 7th century Arabia. It's just a mentality I am pointing out.

Re: ~Olive in Islam~

He is not basing it on religion... he is basing it on Hareem01's post. I think he is right.

Re: ~Olive in Islam~

JazakAllah…

Re: ~Olive in Islam~

Yes it is a matter of belief and ego.

You do not believe on Quran.....its your choice.....you may remain that way and in my opinion "ignorant" and unaware of the Divine knowledge. You be happy the way you are.

However you will never come up and say such a thing if it has been said by a westerner. Why these double standards.

Its alll based in on belief -imaan. For us Muslims...its like a complete package. Take it or leave it. That 7th century culture is dearer to us than any culture of today. That really was the best culture and the best time - since the best example for humanity was in it.

This is the Islam bashing mentality i wanted to point to.....

Re: ~Olive in Islam~

As I said earlier, I'm not making the claim about the Qur'an. The Qur'an itself makes this claim. It talks to Mankind. Whether you listen to it or not is up to you. The root of not listening to it is found in ones ego and desires. You say above there are many reasons why one doesn't believe it, please elaborate on those reasons.

Re: ~Olive in Islam~

But it seems when I point out the reasons I don't believe it to be the one, true, final revelation from God I am Islam-bashing.

Here's an example of what I don't believe:

I don't believe the best culture, best time and best example for humanity was in 7th century Arabia. And my purpose for posting in this thread was to express my opinion that this obsession with that time frame by many Muslims borders on OCD.

There are many other reasons, more than you want to hear and enough to have people claim I am Muslim-bashing. I can summarize by saying I don't believe it is the ONE, ONLY, FINAL message from God that doesn't allow people to stray too far from the literal, fundamentlist, Arab-centric method in which it was revealed (lest you be labeled non-Muslim, kafir, mushrik, makruh or worse).

Re: ~Olive in Islam~

This is a such a futile debate. I wish people had better things to do. Or mods could shut down the thread.

Re: ~Olive in Islam~

and this is such a futile comment....

Re: ~Olive in Islam~

^easy.i was talking about - your -belief -in- my -perspective -debate, the thread is about olives, dont know why you grace people with answers when they arent clearly looking for one.

Re: ~Olive in Islam~

If that is so....it doesn't make a difference at all. You are not good at history ....

You just be happy .. Peace.

Re: ~Olive in Islam~

I am happy and at peace, thank you. :)

Part of what gives me that satisfaction is in knowing what is 'history' and what is not.

Re: ~Olive in Islam~

:) Aren't we generalising now!, I love martinis with olives but hardly think of olives any more than a fruit.
