Re: Old dramas vs. New dramas
Communication Design interesting (never heard of that). Sometimes i think is there any need to compare old dramas with new? They simply cannot be compared, the simplicity, motivation, subject and timely ending were some of the key factors in those days that kept the audience hooked to their TV screens whereas, now it’s all glamor, lack of proper subject and useless dragging.Media was not so powerful in old days due to which people were not aware of social issues (like physical abuse, second marriages, kids custody etc) that were happening around them which were discussed only in dramas and that left the viewers thinking if they ever come across such situation they will know how to tackle with it but, now these issues are so common and the way news channels cover it leaves a negative impact that even if they try to show it in drama people ask what’s new in it? So i think in old dramas they tried to convey positive message through their acts.
