we do ve options to learn different laguages atleat 17 regional and others like spanish ,french,german russian at school.but these r all volountary courses .it depends upon students interest if they want to learn them.i lived in various states of india from north to south .so came in touch with various ppl and picked up their language.i dont know how to write except for hindi and english:D

no i dont know malyalam its language of kerala.malayalam is nearer to tamil in script and grammar.

well in america my first friend from bombay, scond one from malyalaam third from gujurat and from karachi
this is my best friends group
other than i have many indian friends
i have planty of hyderabadi friends i love them also but i love my first three friends :)

A southerner? Welcome abroad dude, we don't have anything in commonm with you guys but you're so much better and friednlier than most northerers who we do have ethnic and cultural similarities with. :)
